Speakers: Cassandra Myers (they/she), Lukayo Estrella

Cassandra Myers (they/she) is a queer, trans, crip, mad, South Asian-Italian poet, performer, educator, and social worker from Toronto, Ontario.  A Masters of Social Work Candidate at York University, Cassandra has performed poetry across the United States and Canada. A Pink Door Fellow, her work can be found in Overheard, The Shortline Review, UncommonYOU, and elsewhere.

A wordslinger and healer from the Bikol diaspora, Lukayo Estrella is based on the unceded and unsurrendered territories of the Anishinaabe (Algonquin), in so-called Ottawa, Canada.  When not daydreaming of starting a sanctuary centering disability justice with land defenders and nonbinary priest(esse)s, Lukayo is probably hanging out and gaming with queer chosen family and/or animist Filipino community. For the past year or so, they've worked as the Director of Healing & Accountability at Kind Space, their local 2SLGBTQ+ community center. Check out Lukayo.com and Kindspace.ca to know more.
